I was born in the 80's into a family that met with the local church in Vancouver. After my tenth grade year, my parents moved from beautiful British Columbia and transplanted the family in Anaheim, California where I finished my final two years of high school. In 2002 I graduated from California State University, Fullerton.
It was during my junior year in college that I began to experience the love of the believers meeting with the local church in Anaheim. At that time, I moved into an apartment with two friends from the local church. Upon hearing of the endeavors of three poor college students fending for themselves, several families immediately jumped at the opportunity to have us over for meals. Not even waiting for us to tell them we were hungry, they made the offer to feed us once a week. All things told, a home-cooked dinner was taken care of five out of seven days a week. What we all appreciated the most was that each family understood the busy lives of a college student and was completely fine with our usual coming, eating and leaving. Their actions in simply feeding three hungry college students spoke volumes to us of God's love and care for us.
